Regulatory position, stated precisely
Chemical trade is regulated at both ends of every shipment, and the obligations depend on where the goods are, not on where the trader is registered. We work to the rules applying to each consignment and we are explicit about which party carries which authorisation.
This company does not hold, and does not claim to hold, a Singapore hazardous substances licence, a strategic goods permit, a customs brokerage licence or any manufacturing certification. Where a consignment requires such an authorisation, it is handled by the party that holds it, and that party is identified in the shipping instructions.
Any statement to the contrary on any document purporting to come from this company should be treated as fraudulent and reported to us.
Screening before acceptance
- Counterparty identity and registration checked against a public register, and the invoicing entity matched to the contracting entity
- Goods checked against applicable export-control and strategic-goods lists; controlled items are declined
- Destination checked against applicable sanctions regimes
- End use asked for where the product family makes it material, and enquiries that cannot answer are declined
- Payment route checked — the paying party must be the contracting party
Product stewardship
Material is classified and labelled according to the globally harmonised system, and the safety data sheet is supplied in the required format before the goods arrive rather than with them.
Dangerous goods are declared under the transport rules applying to the mode, and carried by operators qualified for the hazard class. Packaging is selected for the substance and for the receiving site, not for loading convenience.
Where a product is restricted in the destination market, the restriction governs the transaction. We ask about registration status and authorisations before quoting the product families where this applies, and we would rather lose an order than ship into a restriction.
